In its early history, Flamenco was primarily passed down orally within Romani families and communities. Many of the most influential Flamenco dynasties, such as the Habichuela and Amaya families, were of Romani heritage.
The indomitable vitality and profound melancholy expressed by the Flamenco dancers stirred something deep within Ariel, though she could not explain why.
