Gan Jing World recently held its first-ever Gan Jing World Movie Night community event in Middletown, New York, on May 16, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event premiered Symphony of Light and Shadow, an original film, and drew more than 200 attendees for an evening of family fun, culture, and entertainment.

The Symphony of Light and Shadow, an original film produced by NTD Television, follows two cousins from very different backgrounds who come to live under the same roof, navigate cross-cultural differences, and gradually forge a heartfelt bond — a story that resonated deeply with the audience. The Symphony of Light and Shadow is now streaming exclusively on GJW+.

Gan Jing World CEO Dr. Sherry Yin shared that the platform has now reached a cumulative user base of 100 million people. She also announced that more exclusive original content is on the way in the second half of the year, including a major production of Journey to the West. In addition, she invited educators and content creators to share quality programming on the platform to help build a positive, enriching learning environment for children.
