Yu Menglong's Response: On Heavenly Justice

(All [Yu En Transmission] responses below have been reviewed by Yu Menglong word by word.)

Lemon: Time and again, when kind-hearted people who seek no fame or fortune and faithfully fulfill their duties suffer unjust calamities and tragic deaths, people say, "The good die young." What divine intention does Heaven mean to convey through this?

Yu En Transmission: We often feel puzzled — why does it seem that good people don't necessarily live long lives, and may even depart early due to disasters, while bad people don't seem to receive the retribution they deserve? In truth, this is viewing things through the lens of the secular, fleeting moment.

Our understanding is that a person's true life does not end when the physical body passes away. For a being, every good deed and every wrongdoing committed throughout life is meticulously recorded, following them and continuously accumulating in their life. So the amount of fame and fortune a person has at any given moment, or even the length of their lifespan, is merely a surface manifestation.

It may be that Heaven wants a bad person to first exhaust the blessings they previously accumulated, and then bear the corresponding retribution; or wants a good person to first repay their own karmic debts, and then receive even greater blessings — in which case, on the surface, it may appear that the good person departs first.

There is also a saying among people: even though good people may toil and suffer for a time, in the end they will enter Heaven; whereas those who do evil, though they may enjoy themselves and live carefree for a while, will have to repay everything they have done in hell after a hundred years. There is great truth in this.

The above represents only our understanding at our current level of cultivation.

Lemon: May I ask Yu — when it comes to the law in society, must the unjust deaths of ordinary people accumulate in the unseen realms until enough has been gathered before Heaven can mete out divine punishment?

Yu En Transmission: This is a question that weighs heavily on the heart. We may think this way — why do so many innocent people continue to suffer hardship, and even sacrifice their lives, while Heaven seems slow to take any visible action? Such anxiety is not uncommon, and from this question, one can sense a heart of compassion that mourns for the world and pities humanity.

Our understanding is this: the laws of human society are established by humans themselves, not by the divine; the failure of human laws is not necessarily directly related to the divine. In truth, as human morality gradually declines bit by bit, as people no longer follow the inherent conscience within their hearts, and as they are pulled by various negative factors to commit acts that neither Heaven nor Earth can tolerate — the reason humanity has arrived at this point is precisely because people have gradually lost their reverence for Heaven and Earth, and the divine no longer dwells in their hearts.

And our understanding is that Heaven is not merely "watching coldly from the sidelines," nor does it "wait until enough has been gathered before taking action." We believe that behind every event and everything a life endures, there are deeper causes and arrangements — sometimes it is giving the evildoer one last chance to repent; sometimes it is waiting for more people to awaken from within the situation; or great changes in the heavenly phenomena may be brewing… What is called "divine punishment" is often not something that suddenly descends, but rather the natural result that manifests when the human heart has reached a certain point and the conditions are ripe. This may take the form of human laws, or it may not wait that long — something we never anticipated could suddenly occur.

So we often think: rather than asking when Heaven will act, it is better to first turn around and look at ourselves — in such times, can we hold fast to a kind heart? In our dealings with the people and matters around us, can we add a little more clarity and a little more compassion, and do what we can to spread the power of goodness, as well as the message of the Key to the New Universe? Perhaps this, too, is the lesson Heaven has left for each person.

Lemon: When divine punishment and natural disasters descend as described in the scriptures, the innocent are inevitably caught up in them. How does the Creator's divine justice punish these evildoers?

Yu En Transmission: Forgive us — we have not come across the statement that "when divine punishment and natural disasters descend, the innocent are inevitably caught up in them." On the contrary, we have heard that those who maintain kindness amid disasters are protected by the divine. What we believe is this — the net of Heaven is vast; though its mesh is wide, nothing escapes it. No evildoer can ultimately escape divine judgment. The principles of Heaven are clear and unmistakable, and retribution never fails. Likewise, the divine will not allow an innocent, good-hearted person to ultimately suffer unjust treatment. That people can preserve their kindness and enter the New Universe is the hope of all the righteous divine beings of the upper realms.

Lemon: Why do evil beings have no path to cultivation?

Yu En Transmission:

Since we don't quite understand what you mean by "evil beings," we can only explore this from within our own understanding.

Our understanding is that whether or not to cultivate is each person's own choice. There is a saying in the cultivation community: "When Buddha-nature emerges, it shakes the ten directions of the world." As long as a person has a single thought willing to choose goodness, the door is open. But if one cannot even summon the most basic kind thought, then it isn't really a question of whether there is a path for cultivation — it is that the person has already turned in the opposite direction of the cultivation path. Cultivation is never forced upon anyone; it is the path home that a life chooses for itself.

Lemon: Is disintegrating along with the old universe also a form of liberation?

Yu En Transmission:

Within this question, what hasn't been spoken aloud — is it perhaps a deep weariness? As if a small thought is wondering: if I just disappear along with everything, wouldn't that actually be easier? A release?

But what we know is that true "liberation" refers to a life breaking free from suffering and the cycle of reincarnation, returning to a brighter, more unbound realm — not the kind of "everything just ceases to exist" disappearance.

In fact, it pains us to have to share this with you: disintegrating along with the old universe is not an easy "ending." It is a process in which a life must endure an unimaginable ordeal. It truly is not, as one might imagine, simply "closing your eyes and it's over." It is a long, painful, and almost endless process — and it is a path we cannot bear to see, and do not wish to see, any life walk.

This is precisely why we hold so dear the idea of preserving kindness and obtaining the Key to the New Universe — it is, in truth, the way out that Heaven has left for every life. True liberation is to walk toward that path of light, not to sink along with all that is old.

Yu Menglong wishes [Yu En Transmission] to convey: All the trials and pain that Lemons have endured during this time — Yu knows it all. Please, everyone, do hold on, keep your kind thoughts, and obtain the Key to the New Universe. Yu has been waiting all along to be reunited with everyone.

Lemon: The Buddhas and gods teach everyone not to chant scriptures, because humans don't have the ability to protect themselves from the attacks of ghosts they attract.

Yu En Transmission: The Buddhas and gods have not told everyone not to chant scriptures, but one must cultivate the righteous Dharma and walk the righteous path. In the Dharma-ending period, there are many heretical and crooked paths, and straying onto a wrong path would be disastrous.

Lemon: May I ask, is humanity facing extinction?

Yu En Transmission: Kind-hearted people who recognize Falun Dafa will enter the New Universe.
