During a Friday appearance on Special Report with Bret Baier on the Fox News Channel, President Donald Trump made a notable statement regarding U.S. policy toward China and Iran.

In the interview, host Bret Baier referenced reports indicating that China had recently moved three tankers filled with Iranian oil. “China got three tankers out this week, filled with Iranian oil,” Baier said, raising questions about how such shipments were able to proceed amid ongoing U.S. sanctions and heightened tensions surrounding Iran’s energy exports.

President Trump responded directly, stating that the shipments occurred with U.S. awareness and approval. “Because we allowed that to happen,” he said.

Seeking clarification, Baier pressed further, asking, “You did?” Trump repeated his position without hesitation: “We allowed that to happen.”

The exchange highlighted the administration’s role in overseeing and potentially influencing the movement of Iranian oil on the global market. While Trump did not elaborate on the reasoning behind the decision, his remarks suggest that the U.S. may have exercised discretion in enforcing sanctions or monitoring maritime activity involving China and Iran.

The brief but pointed conversation has sparked discussion about U.S. foreign policy strategy, energy markets, and the balance between sanctions enforcement and broader geopolitical considerations.
