President Donald Trump said Friday that he rejected Iran’s latest proposal aimed at ending the current conflict, declaring the offer “unacceptable” because it failed to fully eliminate Tehran’s nuclear capabilities.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One while returning from meetings in China, Trump said he discarded the proposal after reviewing language he believed would allow Iran to retain portions of its nuclear program.

“I looked at it, and I don’t like the first sentence. I just throw it away,” Trump said.

The president reiterated that any future agreement with Iran must require the complete dismantling of its nuclear infrastructure.

“You’ve got to get all the fuel out and no more production,” Trump said. “You have to get everything.”

Trump stressed repeatedly that Iran would never be permitted to possess nuclear weapons capability “of any form.”

The president also claimed Iranian officials privately acknowledged that recent U.S. military strikes caused catastrophic damage to Iran’s nuclear facilities.

According to Trump, Iranian representatives admitted the facilities suffered “complete obliteration” following bombing operations carried out by U.S. B-2 stealth bombers.

Trump said Iranian officials acknowledged that only the United States or China possess the specialized equipment necessary to remove radioactive debris from the destroyed sites.

“They said the only one that can remove it is China or the U.S.,” Trump said. “They said you were right. It is a complete obliteration.”

The administration has maintained that the strikes severely degraded Iran’s military and nuclear capabilities during the recent conflict.

Trump also defended the military operation against criticism and media skepticism regarding the extent of the damage.

“We had a total military victory,” Trump said. “We knocked out their entire Navy. We knocked out their entire Air Force. We knocked out all of their anti-aircraft weaponry.”

The president further claimed that approximately 80% to 85% of Iran’s missile manufacturing capability had been destroyed during the campaign.

Trump warned that the United States retains the ability to rapidly escalate military pressure if Iran refuses to cooperate or attempts to rebuild critical infrastructure.

“We could knock out their bridges and their electrical capacity within two days,” Trump said.

Although a temporary ceasefire remains in place, Trump indicated the administration remains prepared for renewed military operations if negotiations collapse.

“Iran will never have a nuclear weapon,” Trump said. “Not going to happen.”

Trump also discussed Iran during meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing earlier this week.

According to Trump, Xi agreed that Iran should not obtain nuclear weapons and supported efforts to stabilize shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

The strait remains one of the world’s most strategically important energy corridors, carrying a significant percentage of global oil exports.

Trump said China has strong economic incentives to maintain stability in the region because Beijing receives roughly 40% of its imported oil through the waterway.

The president described the discussions with Xi as productive despite broader tensions between Washington and Beijing involving trade, military influence, and Taiwan.

The White House has not released details regarding any future negotiations with Iran or additional military planning related to the region.
