But in ancient China, medicine was a Daoist cultivation path, known as the "Way of Medicine."
The method of this cultivation was to follow Heaven and accord with humanity, harmonizing the body's five viscera (heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys) and six bowels (gallbladder, small intestine, triple burner, stomach, large intestine, and bladder) in accordance with the Five Elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, and water), and so forth.
The harmonization of the human body is a profound field of learning indeed!
Why does a person fall ill? Apart from the mutual restraint or disharmony of the Five Elements, there is also the triggering of karmic forces.
The sources of karma vary: passed down from one's ancestors, accumulated across successive lifetimes, generated by personal preferences and attachments, or caused by deliberately harming living beings in this present life—and so on.
When viewed deeply through supernormal abilities, these karmic forces all appear as black spiritual entities, one after another.
