As you probably know by now, there was an active shooter captured last night at the annual White House Correspondents’ Assn. dinner. The President is safe. That is the most important thing.
Attendees were told to get down, under their tables until the room was safe, which most did. When caught on camera, many had looks of real fear on their faces. An immediate thought came to my mind:
The hatred they spread 24/7/365, had come home to roost.
For a moment, I enjoyed seeing their panic and fright. I pray that they might alter their vicious diatribe against our duly elected President and against his supporters. They have fanned the flames of differences of opinion, into dangerous conditions, and I was glad to see them live through a moment of what they’ve wrought.
Their miserable BLATANT lies and attitude have gone a long way to having CAUSED last night, and I hope and pray that SOME of the guilty ones change their ways and go back to reporting real, factual news, not attitude.
I’m probably just whistling Dixie, as grandad used to say. They are paid too much to lie, and ‘going honest” will never occur to them. They may have WANTED this to happen…read on.
The shooter last night was taken down and is in jail, with two charges, one of using a firearm in the course of a crime and another involving assaulting a law enforcement officer with a weapon. US Attorney, Jeanine Piro, says that more charges could follow as the facts come out.
The perp – NOT THE “ALLEGED” PERP – has been identified as a teacher from Torrence, California, Cole Tomas Allen, once recognized as “teacher of the month”. Allen was a registered guest at the Hilton Hotel, the site of the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner. He had a shotgun, a revolver and multiple knives in his possession.
I would have thought that EVERY bag of EVERY guest checking in, for the ten days or so before the event would have been x-rayed AND/OR INSPECTED. We used to experience that on a simple international flight. Why not for something this important??
Security should have been extremely tight, given that our President has survived TWO assassination attempts in just 21 months. That was NOT the case, apparently.
Multiple attendees commented on how LAX it was as they lined up to enter. Greta Van Sustern said guests had only to wave a ticket at the “guards” as they entered. No identification, no searches of bags or bodies. It’s clear that we still have a huge problem, and as becomes more apparent, it is on the “inside”. IMHO, the Secret Service who guarded President Trump at Butler, should have been laid off. WITHOUT PAY.
If you remember, a young FBI sharpshooter had the Butler, PA, shooter, Matthew Crooks, in his gun site for five minutes and was told repeatedly NOT to fire. That young man abruptly resigned his position immediately after the event, and wrote a letter about the incident and the very suspicious directions he’d received. As far as I have been able to learn, nothing has come of it, and the letter, of which I have a copy, has vanished.
The shooter at the Trump golf course in West Palm is finally in jail, but was able to get close enough to the President to stick a weapon through the chain link fence in preparation for the kill.
Security? REALLY???
Here’s the”kicker” though.
The icing on the Leftist media’s cake of guilt is something we all should know:
Over 250 journalists, including Dan Rather and Sam Donaldson, signed an open letter demanding that the White House Correspondents’ Association turn this Saturday’s dinner into a stage for a direct, “forceful” confrontation with President Donald Trump.
EACH signee should be held and questioned.
IMHO, of course.
