President warns GOP of political fallout if legislation stalls amid ongoing strategy debates.

President Donald Trump on Saturday urged Senate Republicans to pass the SAVE America Act, warning of significant political consequences if the legislation fails to advance.

In a Truth Social post, Trump wrote that failing to approve the measure could have lasting electoral repercussions for the party.

“Not passing the SAVE AMERICA ACT will lead to the worst results for a political party in the HISTORY of the United States Senate. An Unrecoverable Death Wish!!!” he stated.

Trump also renewed his call to eliminate the Senate filibuster, a procedural rule that requires 60 votes to move most legislation forward. He argued that the rule is preventing Republicans from advancing key priorities.

“Likewise, the FILIBUSTER — TERMINATE IT NOW!!!” he added.

The SAVE America Act has become a central issue in internal Republican discussions over legislative strategy in a narrowly divided Senate. Lawmakers are weighing how to move forward on major policy initiatives while navigating procedural hurdles.

The filibuster has long been a defining feature of Senate operations, often requiring bipartisan support to pass legislation. In recent years, it has become a point of contention as both parties have debated whether to maintain or modify the rule.

Trump’s comments reflect broader discussions within the Republican Party about how to approach legislative efforts and procedural constraints as upcoming policy battles take shape.
