President escalates public feud with media figures following criticism over policy and leadership

President Donald J. Trump issued a lengthy and pointed statement Thursday targeting several prominent conservative commentators, intensifying a growing public dispute tied to recent criticism of his administration and foreign policy stance.

In a post shared on Truth Social, Trump criticized Candace Owens, Alex Jones, Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly, describing them as “Low IQ” and “stupid,” while questioning their influence and alignment with his political movement.

“I know why Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones have all been fighting me for years… Because they have one thing in common, Low IQs,” Trump wrote in the full statement. “They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too!”

The president’s remarks come after a series of public comments from the individuals named. Jones, alongside attorney Robert Barnes, discussed the possibility of invoking the 25th Amendment. Owens said she regretted previously urging support for Trump. Carlson called on White House staff to resist certain directives, and Kelly criticized Trump’s warning directed at Iran.

Trump’s post continued with additional criticism of their professional standing and media presence, stating, “They’ve all been thrown off Television, lost their Shows, and aren’t even invited on TV because nobody cares about them… they’re NUT JOBS, TROUBLEMAKERS, and will say anything necessary for some ‘free’ and cheap publicity.”

He further argued their positions diverge from his political base, writing, “their views are the opposite of MAGA — Or I wouldn’t have won the Presidential Election in a LANDSLIDE.”

The statement also included personal criticisms and references to past controversies involving each figure, as well as Trump’s broader assertion that mainstream media outlets were now portraying them more favorably.

Reiterating his foreign policy stance, Trump emphasized opposition to Iran obtaining nuclear weapons and framed that position as central to his administration’s agenda.

Following the post, Jones issued a response on social media, which can be viewed here.
