President Donald Trump launched a sharp attack on prominent conservative media figures Thursday, escalating tensions within his political base over his handling of the Iran war.

In a series of posts on Truth Social, Trump targeted Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens and Alex Jones, all of whom have recently criticized his stance. He described the group as “low IQ,” “losers,” and “nut jobs,” accusing them of trying to “latch on to MAGA.”

“They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too!” Trump wrote, while also suggesting Carlson “should see a good psychiatrist,” calling Owens “crazy,” and accusing Jones of making “some of the dumbest things.” He also criticized Kelly over past interview questions.

The backlash from the commentators was swift. Owens mocked Trump on social media, suggesting “it may be time to put Grandpa up in a home.” Jones, speaking on his program, claimed Trump was “mad that he’s wrong” and accused him of being manipulated by Israel, adding, “This is dementia.”

Carlson, a former Fox News host, has recently urged U.S. officials to reject military plans targeting Iranian civilians, while Owens has called the administration “satanic” and demanded Trump’s removal. Kelly, on her podcast, condemned rhetoric about destroying Iran, saying she was “sick” of such threats.

The escalating feud highlights a growing divide within Trump’s support base, particularly as critics point to his campaign pledge to avoid new foreign wars. Trump, however, defended his position, insisting that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons remains central to his “America First” agenda.
