Rapper Offset is in stable condition after being shot in Florida, according to a statement released Monday by a representative for the artist.
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is currently under close medical supervision as he recovers from the incident. While details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain limited, his spokesperson emphasized that his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The shooting reportedly occurred near a casino in Hollywood, Florida, drawing a swift response from local law enforcement. Authorities later confirmed that an incident took place in the valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, a well-known entertainment and gaming venue in the area.
In an official statement, the Seminole Police Department said one individual was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Although the statement did not identify the victim, it aligns with reports confirming Offset as the person hospitalized.
Police also noted that the situation was quickly brought under control, and two individuals were detained at the scene as part of the ongoing investigation. Officials have not yet released further details about what led to the shooting or whether charges are expected.
Offset’s injury has sparked concern among fans and the wider music community, given his prominence in the hip-hop industry. Rising to fame as a member of the influential rap trio Migos, alongside Quavo and the late Takeoff, Offset played a key role in shaping modern trap music and achieving global success with chart-topping hits.
