In another major blow for the Iranian Ayatollah regime, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence department head Maj Gen Majid Khademi has been eliminated by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
It happened a year after the IDF killed his predecessor Mohammad Kazemi during the 12-day-war in 2025.
The IDF said, “Khademi was one of the IRGC’s most senior commanders and had accumulated extensive experience over many years. Khademi worked to advance terrorist attacks worldwide, and was responsible for monitoring Iranian civilians as part of the regime’s suppression of internal protests.”
IDF has officially confirmed Khademi’s elimination – in an overnight airstrike in Tehran.
Who was Majid Khademi?
Khademi was brigadier general, served as the head of the IRGC intelligence department and was the head of Intelligence Protection Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as well, since 2022.
On 19 June 2025, Khademi was appointed the new head of its intelligence division, replacing Mohammad Kazemi, who was killed along with other IRGC officers from Israeli airstrikes on 15 June, 2025 during the Twelve-Day War.
Reports say that Majid Khademi held dual PhDs, in national security and in strategic defense sciences.
