At the center of Swapped is a story that places woodland creatures and majestic birds at the forefront. The main character, Ollie, is voiced by Jordan. According to Blexmedia, Ollie is a small woodland creature carrying a bit of tension when it comes to the bird community. As the outlet explains,
“In Swapped, Jordan voices Ollie, a small woodland creature caught in a long-standing rivalry with the majestic birds of the valley.”
One bird in particular becomes the catalyst for the adventure. Ivy, voiced by Juno Temple, serves as the nexus point that pulls audiences into this whimsical tale. The story takes flight when the unexpected occurs. As Blexmedia notes,
“A mysterious magical event causes Ollie and Ivy to switch bodies, natural enemies must team up to navigate a wild adventure filled with laughs, chaos, and unexpected lessons in empathy.”
A Creative Team Full of Talent
Behind the scenes, Swapped boasts an impressive creative lineup. The screenplay comes from John Whittington, Christian Magalhaes, and Robert Snow, while Nathan Greno directs the feature.
Jordan and Temple are joined by a dynamic supporting cast that includes Cedric the Entertainer, Tata Vega, Ambika Mod, Tracy Morgan, Justina Machado, and Lolly Adefope. With a roster like that, there is no shortage of comedic energy and personality ready to spill onto the screen.
A Trailer With a Special Surprise
The newly released trailer comes with a little extra magic for viewers willing to press play. Two very special guests introduce the preview, and they happen to be especially close to Michael B. Jordan. It is a charming touch that makes the trailer feel even more personal.
Beyond the laughs and the colorful adventure, Swapped carries a message that is both timeless and important. Friendship, empathy, and understanding sit at the heart of the story. As Ollie and Ivy journey through each other’s worlds, they discover the value of teamwork while trying to survive the chaos unfolding across the valley.
