President Donald Trump announced Wednesday night that the United States is nearing the completion of what he described as its core military objectives in Iran, signaling what he portrayed as a decisive turning point in the conflict.

Speaking during a primetime national address, the president provided an update on Operation Epic Fury, outlining what he said were significant battlefield successes achieved by U.S. forces in recent weeks.

Trump emphasized that the mission’s goals were clearly defined from the outset: dismantling Iran’s naval and air capabilities, severely degrading its missile program, destroying its defense industrial base, preventing it from acquiring a nuclear weapon, and crippling its ability to fund and support terrorist organizations.

“As I stated in my announcement of Operation Epic Fury, our objectives are very simple and clear,” Trump said. “We are systematically dismantling the regime’s ability to threaten America or project power outside of their borders.”

The president asserted that Iran’s naval forces have been “absolutely destroyed” and claimed its air force and missile infrastructure have been degraded to levels “never seen before.” He further declared that the country’s defense production capabilities have been effectively eliminated.

“That means eliminating Iran’s navy, which is now absolutely destroyed, hurting their air force and their missile program at levels never seen before, and annihilating their defense industrial base,” Trump stated. “We’ve done all of it. Their navy is gone. Their air force is gone, their missiles are just about used up or beaten.”

According to the president, these combined efforts will severely weaken Iran’s military posture and prevent it from threatening regional stability or supporting proxy groups abroad. He argued that the campaign has not only degraded Iran’s conventional forces but also halted its progress toward building a nuclear weapon.

“Taken together, these actions will cripple Iran’s military, crush their ability to support terrorist proxies, and deny them the ability to build a nuclear bomb,” Trump said. “Our armed forces have been extraordinary. There’s never been anything like it militarily.”

While celebrating what he described as significant gains, Trump also acknowledged the cost of the operation. He referenced 13 American service members who lost their lives during the conflict, honoring them as heroes who sacrificed to prevent what he called a “nuclear Iran.”

“I’m pleased to say that these core strategic objectives are nearing completion,” he continued. “As we celebrate this progress, we think especially of the 13 American warriors who have laid down their lives in this fight to prevent our children from ever having to face a nuclear Iran.”

The president reiterated remarks he made earlier in the week, stating that the United States expects to conclude its operations in Iran within the next two to three weeks. He signaled that the final phase of military action would be forceful and decisive.

“Thanks to the progress we’ve made, I can say tonight that we are on track to complete all of America’s military objectives shortly, very shortly,” Trump declared. “We’re going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks; we’re going to bring them back to the stone ages, where they belong.”

The address framed Operation Epic Fury as a rapid and overwhelming campaign aimed at permanently altering Iran’s military capabilities.

As the timeline for completion approaches, attention now turns to how the conflict will conclude and what the regional and global consequences may be once U.S. forces withdraw.
