Donald Trump is set to address the nation on Wednesday night, promising what the White House has described as “an important update” regarding the ongoing conflict with Iran. The announcement was made by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who shared that the president will speak at 9 p.m. ET.

The upcoming address follows comments Trump made during an interview with Weijia Jiang of CBS News, where he stated that the United States’ military campaign, known as “Operation Epic Fury,” is progressing faster than expected.

According to Trump, the operation is currently “two weeks ahead of schedule,” signaling significant developments behind the scenes.

In remarks shared by Jiang on X, Trump indicated that only minimal steps remain before he could declare victory. He emphasized that regime change has played a critical role in recent progress, describing it as a “big factor” in reshaping the situation.

Trump noted that leadership dynamics in the region have shifted dramatically, claiming that new figures have emerged who are “more reasonable” than their predecessors. He characterized the transformation as a level of regime change “beyond what anyone thought possible.”

Earlier on Tuesday, while speaking to reporters after signing an executive order focused on election integrity, Trump suggested that Operation Epic Fury may conclude within the next two to three weeks.

When asked about the timeline, he responded confidently, stating, “I think two or three weeks,” adding that the United States would withdraw once its objectives are fully achieved.

The president’s address is expected to outline the next steps in the operation and clarify what the administration considers necessary before formally declaring victory.
