Twelve United States troops were injured, including two who were reported to be in serious condition, after an Iranian military strike targeted Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia on Friday, according to a U.S. official. The incident marks another escalation in the ongoing conflict, underscoring the continued vulnerability of military installations in the region and the persistent threat faced by deployed personnel.

The attack is part of a broader pattern of hostilities that have intensified since the war between the United States and Iran began on February 28. With this latest development, the total number of U.S. service members wounded in the conflict has now surpassed 300. Military officials have emphasized, however, that a significant number of those injured have received treatment and recovered sufficiently to return to duty. Earlier on Friday, it was confirmed that at least 273 personnel had already rejoined their units after medical care.

Despite these recoveries, the human cost of the conflict continues to grow. In addition to the hundreds wounded, thirteen U.S. troops have lost their lives since the fighting began. The situation remains tense, with concerns mounting over the potential for further attacks and a deeper escalation of military engagement in the region.
