A new national survey indicates President Donald Trump’s disapproval rating has reached its highest level across both of his terms in office, according to results released this week.

The Fox News survey, conducted March 20–23 among 1,001 registered voters, found that 59 percent of respondents disapprove of Trump’s job performance, while 41 percent approve. The poll carries a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

The latest figure surpasses Trump’s previous high disapproval rating of 58 percent, recorded in November 2025. The survey also found that 47 percent of respondents strongly disapprove of his performance, compared to 22 percent who strongly approve.

Polling results suggest that foreign policy developments are a significant factor influencing voter sentiment. According to the survey, 64 percent of respondents disapprove of Trump’s handling of the conflict involving Iran.

The conflict began in late February with joint military actions by the United States and Israel targeting Iranian leadership. The strikes resulted in the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other senior figures, according to reports cited in the poll’s context.

Despite those developments, Iran has continued retaliatory operations, launching strikes against U.S. military positions across the region and targeting energy infrastructure linked to American allies in Gulf states.

The poll reflects public reaction during an ongoing period of international conflict, with respondents evaluating both domestic and foreign policy performance as part of their assessment of the president’s leadership.
