The Calaveras High School softball team took part in the Dandelion Days Classic Tournament March 3-7 in Jackson and captured the tournament championship. The Red Hawks went 4-0 at the tournament, which included wins over Rio Americano, Amador, Mercy and Rio Vista. Calaveras began the tournament with an 18-2 win over the Rio Americano Raiders
