When I think about what church really means, I don’t think first about a building or a routine — I think about people. I think about connection, encouragement, transformation, and above all, the voice of truth reminding us that we are not walking this life alone. That’s exactly what Pastor Jonathon McKinney has been to me and to so many of us at The Harvest.
I didn’t just join a church; I found a spiritual family under his leadership. From the moment you walk through the doors on a Sunday morning, you can feel the warmth, the welcome, and the sense that every person matters. At The Harvest, we are taught that church isn’t something you attend once a week — it’s something you live out every day in the way you love God and love your neighbor. That mission starts with the heart of our pastor.
Pastor Jonathon doesn’t just preach — he teaches with a passion that opens your heart and challenges your spirit. His sermons are grounded in Scripture, rooted in the gospel, and alive with practical truth that carries us through real life. Whether he’s speaking about grace, courage, redemption, or the power of surrender, you can feel that he’s not just saying words; he’s lived them.
One of the things that strikes me most is how Pastor Jonathon invites each of us to come as we are, but never to stay as we are. He reminds us that God’s grace doesn’t overlook our struggles — it meets us right in them. In his messages, there is a balance of mercy and conviction that awakens our faith and stirs our soul to live boldly for Jesus.
Coming to The Harvest is like walking into a family reunion. There’s laughter, there’s prayer, there’s worship with abandon, and there’s a genuine desire to see people grow in their relationship with God. Pastor Jonathon encourages us not just to hear the Word, but to apply it and live it out through service, love, and accountability.
We’re all works in progress — but that’s what makes it real. It’s a place where you can be transparent, where burdens can be lifted at the altar, and where the Holy Spirit moves in powerful ways every Sunday. We’ve seen people healed in spirit, restored in hope, and revived in purpose because The Harvest is a place that genuinely believes that God is active and alive in our midst.
For me, Pastor Jonathon is more than a preacher; he’s a shepherd who loves the flock with passion and prayer. He leads with humility and strength, always pointing us back to Jesus. Under his care, The Harvest feels like an extended family — people who celebrate together, lift one another up, and walk through life shoulder to shoulder.
Sunday services aren’t just rituals — they’re life-giving moments. From worship to teaching to fellowship, every part of what happens at The Harvest echoes the heart of our pastor: that people matter, that God cares, and that faith changes everything.
So when I talk about The Harvest, I talk about home. And when I talk about Pastor Jonathon McKinney, I talk about a spiritual leader whose faith inspires mine, whose words challenge me, and whose example pushes me to follow Jesus more deeply every day.
God is moving here. He’s calling His people to greater faith, deeper connection, and a louder testimony of His goodness. And I’m grateful to be part of what He’s doing at The Harvest, under the leadership of Pastor Jonathon McKinney.
