First Lady Melania Trump has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the American people for the prayers, encouragement, and unwavering support her family has received over the years.
Speaking on Breitbart News Daily with host Mike Slater on Friday, Mrs. Trump emphasized how deeply touched she is by the kindness shown to her and her family, adding that she continually prays for the well-being of her supporters in return.
“I just want to thank them for all of the prayers and beautiful messages,” Melania Trump said. “We’ve received so much—here in the White House and also at our other homes—and I really appreciate their kindness and support.”
She went on to share a message of unity, compassion, and positivity, encouraging Americans to look after one another during challenging times. “I wish for all of them to be healthy and to take care of each other,” she said.
“To be positive and kind—that’s the most important thing. To take care of their own family, and also our beautiful country.”
Mrs. Trump appeared on the program to encourage continued support for her documentary film, Melania, which has quickly become a cultural and commercial success.
The film, which offers an intimate and cinematic look into her life and responsibilities as First Lady, has gained significant momentum at the box office following its historic debut.
Since its opening weekend where it earned just over $7 million, marking the strongest documentary opening in a decade attendance has continued to grow. Social media has been flooded with photos and videos of supporters attending screenings across the country.
One viral image in particular showed nearly a dozen women attending a screening together while dressed in Melania Trump’s iconic Inauguration Day outfit.
“That was so sweet,” Mrs. Trump said, recalling the moment she saw the photo. “Someone sent it to me and it really made me laugh.
It was beautiful how they all put it together with every little detail. The shoes, the blouse—it was very, very sweet and very nice. I want to thank them. Whatever they do, thank you.”
Earlier in the interview, Mrs. Trump thanked the Breitbart audience and all those who have supported the film in theaters nationwide. She expressed pride in the project and emphasized the effort required to bring it to life.
“We’ve had great success with the film, and I’m very proud of it,” she said. “It is not an easy task to produce a film. I encourage all of the listeners to go and see it.”
Mrs. Trump described Melania as a unique and historic documentary that offers viewers a rare behind-the-scenes look at her role as First Lady. “I think they will really enjoy it,” she said.
“My film Melania is unprecedented, historic, and very cinematic. It looks into my role, my responsibilities, and my impact as a First Lady. It captures twenty days in my life leading up to the inauguration.”
She concluded by emphasizing the broader significance of the film, calling it a shared moment in American history. “People will really enjoy it,” Mrs. Trump said. “I encourage all of them to see it because this is for all of us. This is us together. It’s history in the making.”
