It’s funny how quickly the narrative flips when accountability shows up at the door.
Liberal Democrats love to scream “fascism” every time immigration law is enforced—but they conveniently forget one key detail: they’re the ones who put these laws on the books in the first place.
For decades, Democrats passed, expanded, and defended federal immigration laws. Laws that define illegal entry. Laws that authorize detention. Laws that empower federal agencies to remove people who are in this country unlawfully. Those laws didn’t magically appear under President Trump. They were written, debated, voted on, and signed—often with bipartisan support, and very often led by Democrats.
Now suddenly, enforcing the law is “authoritarian.”
ICE agents doing the job Congress assigned them? “Gestapo.”
Border enforcement? “Racist.”
Following federal statute? “Fascist.”
Give me a break.
What makes this even more outrageous is that these same liberal Democrats had no problem demanding the full force of federal law enforcement be used against everyday Americans during COVID.
Churches were threatened. Businesses were shut down. Parents were arrested. People were fined, surveilled, and harassed for leaving their homes, refusing mandates, or daring to question government power. Federal agencies were weaponized against citizens who simply wanted to work, worship, or make their own medical decisions.
Back then, Democrats cheered enforcement. They demanded compliance. They applauded federal power being used to crush dissent.
But now—when federal law is enforced at the border—the same people cry “fascism.”
That tells you everything you need to know.
This isn’t about compassion. It’s not about fairness. It’s about control. Laws are only acceptable to the Left when they can decide when, where, and against whom they’re applied.
Republicans didn’t create this double standard—we’re just refusing to play along with it.
You can disagree with immigration policy. You can argue for reform. That’s called debate. But calling law enforcement officers and political opponents “fascists” for upholding laws Democrats themselves passed—while ignoring their own recent history of using federal force against American citizens—is dishonest, reckless, and dangerous.
If you don’t like the laws anymore, change them.
If you think they’re unjust, repeal them.
But don’t pretend enforcing them is tyranny.
That lie isn’t holding up—and the American peoples are hopefully starting to see it.
