President Donald Trump said Monday that Republicans will permanently lose national elections unless illegal aliens who entered the United States during the Biden administration are removed, arguing that immigration enforcement is directly tied to election integrity.

Trump made the remarks during an appearance on The Dan Bongino Show, marking the first broadcast by Dan Bongino on Rumble since his departure from the FBI last month.

“These people were brought to this country to vote, and they vote illegally,” Trump said during the interview.

Trump accused foreign governments of deliberately sending criminals and institutionalized individuals into the United States, particularly across the southern border.

“They sent every single person in a mental institution over our border with Texas with their open border policies,” Trump said. “So we have millions of people, most of them are bad to be honest with you, because they’re not gonna send their good people.”

Trump said the issue was existential for the Republican Party.

“They’ve sent all of their people, millions and millions of people. We have to get ’em out,” he said. “And, by the way, if Republicans don’t get ’em out, you will never win another election as a Republican. These people are all put in so they vote. … It’s crazy.”

Trump criticized Republican lawmakers for not taking more aggressive action on election systems, calling for federal control in multiple states.

“It’s amazing the Republicans are not tougher on this,” Trump said. “The Republicans should say we want to take over the voting in many, at least 15 places. The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting. … We have states that are so crooked.”

Trump also accused major media outlets of ignoring what he described as the real cause behind sharply declining crime rates since his inauguration one year ago.

“Everyone knows what the reason is,” Trump said. “We do a great job, we don’t get credit. … The news is so corrupt and so fake, it’s unbelievable.”

He claimed that a small fraction of the population is responsible for the majority of violent crime.

“Two percent of the people create 90% of the crime,” Trump said. “So when you start moving these guys out, you have a huge impact on crime.”

During the interview, Bongino praised Trump’s approach to asserting American influence in the Western Hemisphere, referencing recent developments in Venezuela and around the Panama Canal.

“This is not the 1960s anymore. We have to control this hemisphere,” Bongino said.

Bongino also urged patience for Kash Patel, saying rebuilding the FBI will take time.

“Let him go to the mat,” Bongino said. “It took decades to destroy the place. It’s not going to be rebuilt overnight.”

Trump praised Bongino’s service, telling him, “You did great in the FBI … Very few people can do what you do. Thank you for your service.”

The livestream drew more than 226,000 viewers on Rumble but briefly went offline during its opening minutes. Bongino said the interruption was the result of an attack on the platform.

“A lot of people interested in keeping me off the air,” Bongino said after the stream resumed. “Rumble is under attack and the show of course is under attack.”

Bongino said he anticipated disruption and vowed to continue broadcasting.

“They just don’t want me to talk,” he said. “They’re so terrified of this show coming back that they were going to do anything to try to stop us.”

The full interview aired on Rumble and remains available to viewers through the platform’s replay feature. The broadcast can be viewed here.
