Russia Launched Multiple Attacks on Ukraine including a Maternity Hospital and Bus: At least 15 Killed, Dozens Injured

At least nine people were injured in two attacks by Russia in Ukraine on Sunday – including a maternity hospital.

Governor Ivan Fedorov said that there were at least two attacks — on the southern city of Zaporizhzhia.

In another attack, fifteen persons were killed when a Russian drone attacked a bus.

At least 15 people died and 7 injured in that separate incident, shows the report.

Russia targeted DTEK mines, and one of the strikes hit a service bus in the town of Ternivka, which was transporting miners.

Russia’s offensives have been continuing for weeks with thousands of drone attacks reported last week whereas reports indicate that more than 24,000 attacks happened in January alone.

The maternity hospital strike occurred around noon, when a Russian drone hit the facility, causing a fire in the gynecology department’s reception area. Six individuals were wounded in this initial attack, including two women who were undergoing medical examinations at the time.

Fedorov reported at least two separate attacks on Zaporizhzhia that day. Hours after the hospital strike, another drone assault targeted residential areas, injuring three more people, including a four-year-old child.

Footage from the scenes showed shattered windows, damaged buildings, and rising smoke, with rescuers aiding the victims.

This is not the first time a Ukrainian maternity facility has been hit. In 2022, Russian forces struck a maternity ward in Vilniansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, resulting in the tragic death of a two-day-old boy.
