‘Dearest Gentle Reader’ , is a phrase that every Bridgerton fan waits to hear and play on repeat. It’s the sweet anticipation for a new season and a new diamond that makes one live and relive the joy of the past seasons just to hear that specific phrase. Despite being able to play all of the seasons and episodes multiple times as much as one desires, having a much anticipated fresh start with brand new chapters ready to watch just hits different.
Bridgerton was first released as a set of published book series, every book is specified and focused on the journey of one Bridgerton character with a unique journey of self-discovery through life’s unexpected adventure and plot. The series have been adapted into a new format that indulges and encompasses the entire genre and cast behind the scenes. But living in her imagination and through the memories would all come to end once she steps in her fist ever ball, hosted by the Bridgertons.
The story begins when Sophie makes her debut in the ball, not as a diamond or a prospect choice for a suitor, but as a character who wants to live the moment without being noticed. Hiding in the shadows and enjoying the scene from afar would never go unnoticed when another figure who shares the same story and fate lingers behind the scenes. It’s when she started taking in all the details of the ball, trying to picture every scene and sparkly gown into her memory so she can live them once its all over, what built the foundation for a new beginning and a reality that none of the characters expected to be part of. Little did she know that her admiration for the details captured the perfect figure who lingered in the shadows and admired her instead. Sophie’s fascination for her surroundings is the first detail that grabbed the attention of a playboy who is not seeking something serious.
And that leaves the audience with a question, can love really change a person’s perspective of life?
