U.S. President Trump recently told the New York Post that the U.S. military carried out a surprise raid in Venezuela in January of this year and successfully captured dictator Nicolás Maduro and his wife. The key to the operation was a secret new weapon code‑named “The Discombobulator.” He said this previously undisclosed weapon rendered the enemy’s equipment inoperable, enabling U.S. forces to complete the mission with zero casualties. According to Trump, U.S. military helicopters struck Venezuela’s capital, Caracas, on Jan. 3, detaining Maduro and his wife on federal drug and weapons charges. He said, “They (the Venezuelan military) had Russian and Chinese rocket systems, yet they didn’t fire a single one. Once we entered, they pressed buttons and nothing worked. All their equipment was paralyzed, even though they were prepared to counter us.” (看中国)

When asked about recent reports that the Biden administration had purchased pulsed energy weapons suspected of causing “Havana Syndrome,” Trump brought up this mysterious device and emphasized its powerful capabilities. (看中国)

Although specific details about the Discombobulator remain unclear, the article cites claims from Venezuelan ground witnesses suggesting this weapon may produce intense non‑lethal effects. Several of Maduro’s armed personnel reportedly said they were powerless during the U.S. assault, with some experiencing nosebleeds and vomiting blood. (看中国)

A member of Maduro’s personal guard recalled: “Suddenly, all of our radar systems unexpectedly failed.” He said they then saw many drones flying overhead, “and we had no idea how to react.” Shortly after, about eight U.S. military helicopters appeared carrying roughly 20 U.S. soldiers into the operation area. Weapon used directly against Maduro’s defenses

According to the eyewitness, the Discombobulator was then used directly against Maduro’s defenses. “They fired something—I don’t know how to describe it. It was like a very powerful sound wave, and suddenly I felt like my head was exploding from the inside,” he recalled. “We all began to bleed from our noses; some vomited blood and ultimately fell to the ground unable to stand. That sonic weapon made it impossible for us to get up.” (看中国)

The report states that the now 63‑year‑old Maduro has been taken to a federal prison in Brooklyn, New York, awaiting trial on narcotics terrorism‑related charges. Meanwhile, his former vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, is serving as Venezuela’s acting leader. (看中国)

Trump said in the interview, “We have a very good relationship with the new president. She’s doing a fantastic job.” (看中国)
