The Kremlin said Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin has been invited to join President Donald Trump’s proposed “Board of Peace,” adding that Moscow is reviewing the initiative and hopes it could open the door to renewed contacts with Washington.
Kremlin officials described the invitation as a U.S. initiative that has been formally conveyed to Russia. While declining to offer details about the structure or mandate of the proposed body, Moscow said it was examining the idea and considering its implications.
