Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Monday that a meeting was scheduled this week in Europe and a preparation for this has started already.

Zelensky also mentioned that Ukraine is in constant communication with the US team under President Trump’s leadership.

“We are preparing for meetings in Europe this week. Of course, we are also in constant communication with the team of the President of the United States. Air defense for Ukraine and support for Ukraine are daily tasks, and every day we must deliver results. New decisions will be made in the interests of our state. The Ukrainian negotiating team is working around the clock,” Zelensky said in a video message.

The Ukrainian President also took an annual report from the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

According to Zelensky the most important thing is “to ensure that every arrangement in Ukraine’s interests, every agreement, and every partnership works to its full potential.”

“A report from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha. We discussed the results of our diplomatic work in 2025 and the key tasks for this year,” he said. “We also discussed rotations within the diplomatic corps – the Minister will present the relevant candidates shortly. Given the need for consistently effective work by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, a candidate for the position of First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs will also be selected. I expect proposals for a decision. Glory to Ukraine!” said Zelensky.

In another post, Zelensky said right now the “main principle” is that “the technological nature of our defense must preserve the lives of our warriors”.

“Russia in this war has one significant advantage, namely the ability to pressure with the scale of strikes, the scale of assaults on Ukraine. We have and must respond with more active use of technologies, faster development of new types of weapons, and new tactics. From the beginning of this war, the Ministry of Digital Transformation has been and remains an active source of innovations for Ukraine’s defense sector. This concerns the development of the arms manufacturers market, the use of drones, and modern communications,” he said.

“Of course, Ukraine is absolutely committed to diplomacy and seeks to end this war as quickly as possible. But Russia does not demonstrate a similar approach and is prolonging the aggression. We will counter this through greater technological advancement and transformation of the defense sector,” said Zelensky.
