As Artificial Intelligence is getting to be the new frontier for technological advancement and innovation, the future of security and stability is at stake of the world’s leading tech industries due to the rapid growth and adaptability of AI services in every field and sector in the domestic political system. Thus, the emergence of intelligence technology through the machine is not as exciting to some people, which led to multiple attempts to shut down and eliminate the use and rapid shift to a fully depended field that is highly supported by AI and other technological systems, which includes  the field of security forces and the policing domain.

Now the world is divided into two parts, the first being the technological advanced generation who are blindly in for every development that concerns the world of technology and the one-tap services. Then comes the traditional society who believe that technology is fair and equitable, but its efficiency comes with a cost that has the tendency to embed negative consequence and impact on the long-run. That leaves the middle ground for those who are in favor of technological advancement in the security forces, while also fearing the risk of a fully automated system that depends on the machines, leaving human labor to attend itself outsourcing the system.

The latter is a reality that we are currently experiencing and living through and within. It’s a harsh certainty of shifting the focus from education and knowledge enacted onto humans, to fully embracing the educational system to develop technological advances and solutions that would eliminate human existence in the labor force, which also include the field of domestic security and policing which heavily relies on human interaction, intelligence, and communication.

In the zone of opportunity to create a safer place for the society, there are zero doubts on how AI is a hand to rely on. However, in the political field of ethics, trusting humans with a certain degree of control is a task that requires a long process of patience and dedication, just to get a glimpse of connection. With that, how can the society and the international community fend for itself to trust the intelligent machines that were designed  by people, and who lack emotional and rational intelligence that humans were naturally born with?.

It is true that at the moment, AI machineries are marking their brand through the digital footprint of dictating, trafficking, and inspecting crime beforehand. Through highly sophisticated surveillance and criminal techniques that were developed into the machines, their ability to identify and track has been enhanced and proven to be right. It’s one of the many ways where AI is helping in stabilizing the environment and lowering crime rates. Not only that, but even minor threats and crime management are handled thoroughly through those systems, which highly affected the public perception of security in many ways that has been molded out by the division of being in favor of AI or not.

Policing, crime control, threat detecting, surveillance development and many others are all the current services that are already being implemented through AI. That leaves the indicator of human intelligence in question of whether the replacement that everyone saw coming will be applied immediately, or will it take more time to process the information onto the machines until they no longer need human intelligence in order to function and work?.

The aforesaid started to create a gap in the security field and police departments around the world. Although the movements are slow and not highly detected, their presence through police unemployment and security forces replacements tells the story without illustrating the plot.

But despite the efficiency of the machines that have been developed by humans, using their rationality and precision, human intelligence will always remain a crucial component in determining whether a threat is a real threat, or is it just a detection and glitch in the system. Regardless of how intelligent AI is getting to be, and how dependent people are on them, it’s important to always remember that human intelligence is heavily influenced by human rationality and emotional well being of the two parts of the human brain.  And that’s something AI machines and systems will never acquire and reach, regardless of how well trained they are and how high their capabilities and skills tend to be. In the end they are machines, created by human intelligence, and their survival depends on real human beings who function outside of the technical system and wires.

Human intelligence is the only factor that determines the development of a society and its system. And as for AI machineries, they are technical components and options that are needed but not relied on.
