Erika Kirk announced Monday that she had a “very productive conversation“ with Candace Owens in their first direct meeting since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, signaling a potential easing of tensions between the two conservative figures.
Kirk shared the update in a statement on X, writing, “Had a very productive conversation with @RealCandaceO. More to come from both of us. Looking forward to AmFest this week. Time to get back to work.”
Owens confirmed the meeting in a separate post on X, describing it as an “extremely productive 4½-hour” discussion that covered more common ground than she had expected. “Erika and I had an extremely productive 4½-hour meeting that I think we both feel should have taken place a lot earlier than it did,” Owens wrote. “We agreed much more than I had anticipated. Of course, we also disagreed on various points and people as well. Most importantly, we were able to share intel and clarify intent.”
Owens added that the conversation helped “ease tensions“ and promised a full update on Tuesday. “I will of course have a full rundown for you all tomorrow as I am currently exhausted, but I wanted to quickly let you guys know that absolutely nothing was held back and the immediate result was that tensions were thawed,” she said.
The meeting follows weeks of public friction between Kirk and Owens after Charlie Kirk’s assassination, which had sparked online disputes and conspiracy-related tensions within conservative circles. Both women now appear to be working toward reconciliation, with Kirk expressing eagerness to focus on the upcoming AmFest event.
The development suggests a shift toward unity after a period of division, though Owens acknowledged that some disagreements remain. Further details are expected in the coming days.
