Attorney General Pam Bondi has ordered federal law enforcement agencies to compile a list of Antifa-affiliated groups for potential prosecution, marking a new phase in the Trump administration’s counterterrorism strategy.

According to reports from Reuters and Bloomberg Law, Bondi’s Thursday memo instructed the FBI to deliver within 30 days a comprehensive list of organizations “engaged in acts that may constitute domestic terrorism,” emphasizing left-wing extremists and politically motivated violence.

“These domestic terrorists use violence or the threat of violence to advance political and social agendas, including opposition to law and immigration enforcement; extreme views in favor of mass migration and open borders; adherence to radical gender ideology, anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, or anti-Christianity,” Bondi wrote, according to Reuters.

The directive calls for the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Forces—made up of federal, state, and local partners—to prioritize investigations into Antifa-linked operations and similar extremist activity. Bondi also instructed the bureau to coordinate with state and local law enforcement to develop the list and identify potential threats.

Bloomberg Law reported that the memo directs agencies to review existing intelligence files on Antifa-related groups and reexamine unsolved domestic terrorism cases from the past five years, including those involving “doxxing” of law enforcement officers and threats against Supreme Court justices.

The FBI has also been ordered to improve its public reporting systems, creating an online mechanism for citizens to “send media” and evidence related to suspected domestic terrorism.

In addition, Bondi reportedly instructed federal grant-making offices to prioritize funding for state and local jurisdictions that establish or expand anti-domestic terrorism programs.

The Justice Department declined to comment on the directive, but officials familiar with the memo said the effort represents one of the most aggressive federal crackdowns yet on politically motivated violence within U.S. borders.
