The White House confirmed Thursday that President Donald Trump will visit Pennsylvania as part of a new nationwide tour aimed at underscoring his administration’s economic achievements and continued efforts to lower costs for American families.
“Can confirm the President will be traveling to PA to discuss how he and the Administration continue to focus on delivering on his Day One priority of ending Joe Biden’s inflation crisis,” a White House spokesperson told Newsmax.
The Pennsylvania stop—expected Tuesday—will mark the first in a series of events focused on the economy, according to multiple media outlets. A second event could be held later in December, with additional appearances planned for early 2026, Axios reported.
A White House official told NBC News that the president’s upcoming speech will take place in the northeastern part of the state. The source described the effort as a messaging push rather than a policy shift.
“It’s more of a narrative thing than it is a substantive thing,” the official said, adding that the trip is meant to “underscore, ‘Guys, we’ve been working on this since Day One.’ That’s not changing anytime soon.”
Inflation, measured by the Consumer Price Index, has edged up slightly from 2.8 percent to 3 percent since February. Trump maintains that prices are declining overall and blames Democrats for what he calls a manufactured affordability crisis.
“Just about everything is down,” Trump said Wednesday while announcing his administration’s rollback of Biden-era vehicle fuel economy standards. “They use the word ‘affordability.’ It is a Democrat hoax. They’re the ones that drove the prices up.”
He continued, “Biden had—because of his stupid ways and between his energy policies and his spending policies—the worst inflation in the history of our country. And now prices are coming down.”
Trump called the Democrats’ emphasis on affordability “a con job,” saying that his administration’s economic policies are reversing the damage from Biden’s tenure.
“This election is about affordability, and they go on to the next subject,” he said. “We are getting those prices down. They are coming down rapidly. You will see those results very soon.”
White House aides privately acknowledged to Axios that the Biden administration failed to ease the cost-of-living crisis for Americans. Trump’s upcoming trip, they said, will preview his “stronger, solutions-driven agenda” aimed at reinforcing economic stability and household prosperity.
