On a random cold autumn Monday morning, on October 10, 2025, heavy metal legend Rob Zombie announced his 8th new studio album The Great Satan being set to come out on February 27, 2026. Nuclear Blast Records who is a German record label is expected to help drop this anticipated album. This label first worked with Zombie back in 2021 with an album called The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy. Although this is only the second time that they are working with him, his first album with Nuclear Blast received a lot of fan love, specifically because of the fact that he went back to his 90s roots. Many fans felt just like a classic feel and production with that first album and they hope it continues on from here.

The latest album is going to have 15 songs on it mainly due to Zombie releasing a song list of it already. With the song list, it features some pretty weird and absurd names like “F.T.W. 84,” “Sir Lord Acid Wolfman,” “Grave Discontent” and many more. Here is a link to all of the other cool and crazy song names that are going to be in it https://genius.com/albums/Rob-zombie/The-great-satan.

These 90s roots for Zombie first infamously went back to his most popular album Hellbilly Deluxe, which released back in 1998. Two of his most sought-after songs of this album are ”Dragula,” and “Living Dead Girl.” The idea for “Dragula,” came from the name of Grandpa Monster’s Dragster Dragula on ‘The Munsters.’ While “Living Dead Girl,” was inspired by many movies like ‘The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari,’ and ‘Nosferatu.’ Both of these songs now 27 years later still live up to the hype due to their great horror themed lyrics and their gothic themes.

But that’s not all. Back in October 2025, Zombie released a single from this new album titled “Punks and Demons.” A large amount of fans were very surprised when they learned it came out, but as soon as they listened to it, many said it sounded like a band called Ministry. The band is a very big influence on Zombie as noticed by the countless mentions of the Devil in the lyrics of the song. This wasn’t the only song that took inspiration from Ministry though. In November, another single came out of the blue titled “Heathen Days.” Just by the dark lyrics and black skeleton designs on the outfits worn by the band members in the music video, you can tell that Ministry influenced this song too. So, with both of these songs garnering a good amount of views on different platforms already, it wouldn’t be surprising if this album becomes the most highly anticipated album of next year for horror fans alike.
