Mission

The mission of Sowing Kindness Incorporated is to promote the values of kindness, respect and trust among people.  We have two kindness bear mascots who go around to help us spread the message.

We hope to partner with various organisations on kindness initiatives to increase the impact of kindness on our community.

Our current kindness initiative is to get people to participate in a craft activity of making a goldfish paper lantern. The theme of the activity is :"You have a heart of gold: You are so kind-hearted". Each participant gets two googly eyes and a shiny golden heart sticker to paste on their completed goldfish paper lantern. A #kindness video awards card with QRcode on details of how to watch the video entries/enter the competition will be attached to the lantern.

"By encouraging kids to reflect on what kindness looks like in practice, to practice compassion and small acts of kindness, and celebrating all of the little ways that we can inject a little more kindness into all of our daily interactions, we are helping the next generation to create kinder habits."

Will some cute kindness day crafts or activities = kind kids? Absolutely not!

But can they generate valuable discussions and create visual reminders & displays for kids to refer to? Absolutely!"

(the above three paragraphs are quoted from mrslearningbee.com website)

The purpose of this kindness-themed craft activity is to encourage children and adults to ponder about what is kindness and how kindness can make our world a better place.

The volunteers of Sowing Kindness Incorporated find it meaningful to raise awareness about the annual #kindness video awards. These #kindness videos entries are an invaluable resource for our next generation to ponder and learn about kindness and put little acts of kindness in practice in their daily lives.

School teachers can tap on meaningful in-class discussions or essays on kindness and make them into video entries for #kindnessiscoolvideo awards competition to win cash for your school, (with permission from parents and school to use the videos of the children for the competition).
