Mother

Mother, mama, mum
Different ways to call but all the same
Mama means where the home is
When mum’s at home
My longing never stops
Mother, ordinary mummy
Kind, forbearing and hard-working
Raised her children up single-handedly
Going through hardship in difficult years
Mother often shed her tears
Worrying about where the next dinner was
For children to have meals
She used to wait by the river in severe winter
Hoped to buy some grains from the passing boats
Mother was illiterate
But encouraged all her children to get educated
Hoped they’d have a better future
She took care of the lives of all her children
Once in the middle of the night
She carried one of her children who had an abdominal pain
And walked several miles to seek medical treatment
When children grew up and left home
From that moment on
Children were always in her worries
No matter where they were
When mum's voice came from the mobile:
Son, came home please when you were free!
Her helpless child had no choice but to answer loudly:
Yeah, yeah, yeah. This was a beautiful white lie!
One day, the sad news of mum’s death came from the mobile
The helpless child has since nowhere to comfort his mummy!
The child became an adult-orphan from then on
Because he has no nowhere to call mother, mama, mum!
Mother’s at heaven no longer with worries
And her survived child can only return home in his dreams!

母親、親娘、媽媽
不同的稱呼，同樣的意思：
母親就是家
有母親就有不盡的思念
有母親就有無窮的牽掛
母親，平凡的母親
善良、堅韌、勤勞的媽媽
含辛茹苦一手將孩子撫養大
在艱難困苦的年頭
母親辛酸的眼淚
為她的孩子能否吃上飯而流
為了孩子有飯吃
她曾在嚴冬等在大河邊
希望能從過往的船上買些糧食
不識字的母親
盡全力支持孩子上學
期盼孩子有一個好的明天
孩子的命就是母親的命
她曾在半夜三更
背着腹痛的孩子走了幾里路求醫
當長大了的孩子離開了家
從那一刻起，孩子有了思念
無論在海角還是天涯
而孩子成了母親餘生的牽掛
當手機上傳來母親的呼喊：
兒啊，有空回家吧！
無奈的孩子只好大聲回答：
好、好、好。這其實是美麗的謊言，欺騙媽媽！
一天，手機上傳來了母親歸天的噩耗
無助的孩子再也無處說出安慰母親的話！
從此，離家的孩子成了孤兒
因為他沒有了母親、親娘、媽媽！
天堂的母親沒有了牽掛
離家的孩子只能在夢中回家！
