Chan Ya Wen: Because of Thee
⸺ Song by Chan Ya Wen
⸺ Translated by Yiyan Han© 2022-11-09, updated 2024-06-05
The sunbreak piercing clouds
above the city, O the ray of lights
Chasing youth, chasing beautiful dreams
and greater chance to catch
in this great world, with
burning ambitions
Step by step, the road never ends
the road never ends
Grateful for thy persistence
I can embrace
Because of thee
I call on all my courage
Grateful to thee
for all the love thou give
Because of thee
the sky above me is vast, boundless
Grateful to thee, thank thee
thank thee very very much
