US Bombs Iran: Airport, Highways, & Railway Bridges Struck As Trump Ups Threats Against Tehran
Jul 18, 2026
The United States carried out its sixth consecutive night of airstrikes on Iran, with attacks reported across southern Iran, including near the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Iranian state media said airports, railway stations, bridges and communication infrastructure were hit, while CENTCOM maintained the strikes were aimed at degrading Iranian military capabilities. President Donald Trump had earlier warned of targeting Iran's infrastructure unless Tehran returned to negotiations. The latest escalation has heightened tensions across the Gulf, with Kuwait reporting hostile drones in its airspace and the US Embassy in Iraq issuing a security alert following a reported drone attack near Erbil.
