A Brave Squirrel Meets a Giant Owl

A giant eagle owl had chosen the wrong tree to rest in — or so it seemed. This was usually the squirrel’s home.
When the little squirrel returned, it froze for a moment, surprised to see the enormous bird sitting calmly on its branch. The owl was a silent hunter, and the squirrel knew it could easily become prey.
Still, curiosity was stronger than fear. Step by step, the squirrel moved closer, circling the trunk and passing the owl several times, always ready to dash away. The huge bird barely moved, only watching with its deep, steady eyes.
The brave little squirrel came within just a short distance and looked straight at the owl, as if asking why it had chosen his tree. For a brief moment, predator and potential prey shared the same tree in perfect silence — a tense but beautiful moment in nature, watched over by Europe’s largest owl.
