They Built a Bridge to Sri Lanka 1 7 Million Years Ago Rama Setu
Jul 3, 2026 #archaeology #history
Rama Setu is a 30-mile bridge between India and Sri Lanka where the rock on top dates older than the sand beneath it.
For centuries, two faiths have insisted this was never a natural sandbar but a bridge raised by hands — even by the gods themselves — in an age our history books refuse to allow. In the early 2000s, India's own Sethusamudram project hired marine geologist Badrinarayanan of the Geological Survey of India to prove the shoal was natural. His boreholes did the opposite: a band of river-worn boulders and coral resting on soft sand for 30 kilometres, in a place the sea had no means of placing them.
