Family of man fatally shot by Wilmington police call for transparency as investigation continues

The family of 19-year-old Kadir Skinner says newly viewed body camera footage of the police shooting that killed him shows he "should be alive today," and they are urging officials to release the video publicly.

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who represents the family, said the nearly four-minute recording offers no justification for the officer's actions.

"Nothing on that video justified this. I'm aggravated," Crump said.

After reviewing the footage, Crump said the public should be allowed to see it.
