The Ancient Egyptians Did NOT Build This The Osirion s 100 Ton Mystery
Jul 2, 2026 #archaeology #history
The Osireion at Abydos is a half-drowned granite hall Egyptologists still can't date — and its only link to Seti I is a single carved name.
Cut from rose granite hauled 200 miles, its 100-ton blocks are fitted so tightly you can't slip a blade between them — yet the style matches almost nothing from the age it's officially assigned. Its own excavators disagreed: Édouard Naville felt it was far older and compared it to Giza, while Henri Frankfort handed it to Seti I on the strength of one cartouche. But a name carved into a stone tells you when the name was carved — not when the stone was cut.
