A Beautiful Hymn Builds to a GRAND Organ Finale

One of the most beautiful hymn melodies — played as a festive organ improvisation in Prague.

In this video I improvise on “I Vow to Thee, My Country” at St. Ignatius Church in Prague. The improvisation begins quietly with a short prelude-like introduction and then grows into a powerful, festive ending using the colors of this wonderful organ. This tune must be one of my favorite melodies ever, originally taken from the Planets Suite, Jupiter, written by Gustav Holst.

The richly decorated church and the warm, majestic sound of the instrument made this a very special place to play.
