MD fire officials demonstrate dangers of illegal fireworks ahead of Fourth of July

With fireworks season underway, Maryland fire officials are warning residents that even devices that look familiar can cause catastrophic injuries and that illegal fireworks brought in from out of state are a growing concern.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal, along with the Metro Fire Chiefs of Maryland, hosted an event to share updated information on the state’s fireworks laws and safe use and to show the damage fireworks can cause.
