Russia and China have carried out a joint strategic air patrol over the East China Sea and the Sea of Japan. The Russian military said the mission involved Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers and lasted around six hours, with no violations of foreign airspace. South Korea later confirmed that Russian and Chinese military aircraft entered its Air Defence Identification Zone but did not breach its sovereign airspace.
