Building a massive structure right on top of a 1,000-meter-high cliff—if that's not a miracle, then what is?

This time, I went to Hubei Province, China. Hidden deep in the mountains just 125 km from Wuhan, I discovered an incredibly mysterious and spectacular destination: Mount Tiantai.

You can cycle straight from the foot of the mountain to the middle, where a mysterious architectural complex is located. But hidden right at the top of the towering cliff behind them is a truly astonishing sight—a house in the sky, hidden away!

The climb is no easy feat. You have to trek through dense forests and climb for an exhausting hour. By the time you reach the summit, you'll be completely worn out. But here's the craziest part: this place has a history spanning over 1,400 years! How did the ancients find this remote mountaintop, let alone build houses on it? This completely defies all conventional thinking. Fortunately, thanks to modern conservation efforts, these structures have been carefully preserved and still stand proudly today.

There is no public transport to get here. If you plan to visit, driving yourself is strongly recommended!
