📚 学霸 (xué bà) = Study champion, top student, academic superstar
A student who gets excellent grades and studies very hard.
Examples:
她是我们班的学霸。
Tā shì wǒmen bān de xué bà.
She is the top student in our class.
学霸每天学习很多小时。
Xué bà měitiān xuéxí hěn duō xiǎoshí.
A top student studies many hours every day.
😅 学渣 (xué zhā) = Poor student, struggling student
A humorous, self-deprecating slang term for someone who doesn't do well in school.
Examples:
我不是学霸,我是学渣。
Wǒ bú shì xué bà, wǒ shì xué zhā.
I'm not a top student; I'm a struggling student.
学渣看到考试就紧张。
Xué zhā kàn dào kǎoshì jiù jǐnzhāng.
A struggling student gets nervous when seeing a test.
💡 Note: 学渣 is often used jokingly. Be careful when using it to describe others.
🤯 太难了 (tài nán le) = It's too difficult!
A very common expression used when something feels challenging.
Examples:

Zhōngwén tài nán le!
