13 HOUR 500 KM DAY RIDE - DOLOMITES // FAST RIDING // KTM 1290 Super Adventure S

Join us for an amazing & crazy 13 hour 500 km day ride through Dolomites and the Italian Alps. We rode 10 of the top 50 passes in the alps and countless smaller passes. We had everything from beautiful sunshine and heavy rains. "We" are Dominique and I - I met Dominique a day earlier while riding through Friuli (Friaul) in northern Italy - he was on his way back to Spain from a 4-week motorcycle trip and I was riding solo for a few days through the Italian Alps. A chance encounter and one of those things that make riding a motorcycle so special - you meet great people along the way. We arrived in the Dolomites the day we met and stayed at the same hotel. The plan was for him to join me for the first few hours of the day and I shared my Dolomites tour with his navigation system as I normally do when I ride with Thomas. We ended up riding the entire tour together. After a long day of fast riding we stayed the night at the "Berghotel Franzenshöhe" which is in the middle of the Stelvio pass and the first ride of the next day was up the Passo dello Stelvio. Before we parted ways again we enjoyed the magnificant view from the top of the Stelvio pass close to the Tibet House.
