Make it fun and the kids will enroll in the lesson and easily learn what you are trying to deliver, which is exactly the same thing with teaching them to write the letter 'L' from the English alphabet with using the white color crayon and some paint.

The creativity behind using this technique of the white colored crayon and the paint is to build some suspense within the kid while they are revealing what the parent have done or else be the ones who their written letters are being revealed. The white colored crayon is for writing down the letter on a piece of paper so that the kid could see how the letter 'L' should be written - the small letter and not the capital - but can't see the actual letter on the paper, while the blue paint is used over these letters in order to reveal what has been written and point out the mistakes if there are any.

There is a difference when it comes to the capital letters and the small letters and when kids are being taught how to write a specific letter, they should know such a difference to know when and where they are supposed to use every single one of them. In this educational video, the lesson is on the small letter "l" used in the middle of the sentence or word and not the capital one that should be used with writing names or with words that start the sentence.

Teaching the kids more about the English alphabet is a thing that goes through different steps, it starts with the introduction to all the letters in general and their right order then it goes to how they are supposed to be pronounced, which is known as phonics (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wmk5gY7Zb00) and then it all moves forward to the point of learning how to write these letters down, both the capital and the small.

Before parents reach the stage of teaching their kids to write down the letters correctly on a piece of paper, they should first teach them the technique of writing each letter even in the air. In this case and with learning the letter 'L', kids are taught to go down in a straight line down with a little flick to the right. The capital letter for writing the letter 'L' is different because it is no longer a little flick, but it is actually a small line straight to the right. Some write the small letter 'L' without the small flick, just a straight line down.

We have other interesting videos on our channel that kids could learn to write the letters through, we have the one related to learning to write the letter 'P' through using the Lego pieces (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmmNwX1bPH4), there is also the one related to writing the letter 'E' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3Vja3_Rvjs) and we also have other general videos for teaching the kids to write letters in general through some creative ways.

Using the Lego pieces which the kid already have, depending on creating those letters out of play doh, using the colors and their different types to play with drawing down the letters, these are all different methods that parents could get creative with while they are teaching their kids the English alphabet.

While parents are teaching their kids to write down the English letters correctly, they should never forget to keep one important thing in their minds, which is making sure that the kids are pronouncing these letters correctly, because the way they are pronounced alone is different from the way they should be pronounced within words and sentences (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQoFRGX83to).

There are different ways that parents could use while homeschooling their children that are related to learning the English alphabet, it could start with singing the ABC song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smcw82TTh_M), it could be through mentioning words or animals' names for every single letter in the alphabet (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UeKeWYAN7M) and it could happen through playing games that include play-doh or Lego pieces.
