Hello everyone, welcome to Zhujiajiao ancient town.
Zhujiajiao, a famous historical and cultural town in China, has developed from a "water town in the south of the Yangtze River" to an "oriental water capital"in Shanghai. Located at the transportation hub of two provinces (Jiangsu and Zhejiang) and one city (Shanghai), with its towns being distributed on both banks of Caojiang River, Zhujiajiao is the earliest ferry terminal where numerous merchants gathered. On the east is the ancient cultural site of Shanghai, the birthplace of Songze Culture, on the west is the Dianshan Lake reputed as "Shanghai West Lake", and the golden watercourse Caojiang River passes through the town. In the town, rivers stretch in length and width, with nine long streets winding their way along the riverside, where thousands of buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties and 36 stone bridges are emanating the graceful ancient aroma. Scenic spots and historical sites can be found everywhere.
In 1991, Zhujiajiao Town was listed as one of the four major historical and cultural towns in Shanghai.
