I Built The Perfect Casio EDC Pocket Watch

For years I’ve loved pocket watches, but most of them are antiques or fashion accessories. So I decided to build something different—a modern field pocket watch based around the legendary Casio SGW-100.

Using a genuine leather pocket watch strap and upgrading the hardware with an orange carabiner, I turned one of my favorite outdoor watches into what I think is the perfect EDC pocket watch.

Traditional pocket watches are cool, but they don’t offer the features we expect in 2026. This build combines old-school style with modern functionality and creates a unique EDC setup that I haven’t seen anyone else doing.
