2D shapes, or two-dimensional shapes, are shapes that have only two dimensions, length and width, and are flat. Here are a few examples:

Square: A square is a 2D shape with four equal sides and four right angles.

Rectangle: A rectangle is a 2D shape with four sides and four right angles, but unlike a square, its opposite sides are equal in length.

Circle: A circle is a 2D shape with all points equidistant from a fixed center point.

Triangle: A triangle is a 2D shape with three sides and three angles. There are different types of triangles, such as equilateral, isosceles, and scalene.

Pentagon: A pentagon is a 2D shape with five sides. If all its sides and angles are equal, it's known as a regular pentagon.

Hexagon: A hexagon is a 2D shape with six sides. If all its sides and angles are equal, it's known as a regular hexagon.

And there are many more. Two-dimensional shapes are a fundamental concept in geometry and are used extensively in various fields such as mathematics, physics, engineering, and computer graphics.
